At interops, we have noticed some vendors whose entities would not at first accept a connection with an entity that was based on a more recent version of the standard than their entity. After they changed their code and removed this arbitrary constraint, they were able to interoperate with everybody regardless of version. There is no reason to arbitrarily limit which versions you will connect with, either older or newer versions. H.323 and H.324 have been designed so that entities of all versions are inherently interoperable with each other.
