Abstract Syntax Notation One (ASN.1)
This page contains some useful links related to Abstract Syntax Notation One (ASN.1). ASN.1 is a means of specifying a protocol syntax and the encoding of the protocol separately. It is widely used in 3G Mobile Systems, VoIP systems, security applications, traditional telecommunication networks, and various government systems.
ASN.1 is defined in a series of ISO / ITU-T joint standards with ITU-T-related work conducted in Study Group 17. The standards are available for free from the ITU-T's web site.
