Job Title: Computer Scientist - VoIP

Job Location: Corporate Headquarters

Job Summary:

Adobe is seeking senior software engineers with top-notch C++ skills and expertise in communication and networking technologies. If you are interested in developing an extremely innovative VoIP communications solution, this is the job for you. While coding is the main responsibility, you will work with product managers, product designers and quality assurance to architect the product, define product requirements, develop software specifications, and ensure very high product quality. You will develop and/or integrate industry leading, standards based communications functionality into core products. You will develop and provide tools to support major OEMs in their integration and/or customization of Adobe's industry leading communications products. You will leverage the Adobe brand, reputation, and installed customer base—over one million licensed developers using Adobe Flash—to enable the deployment of Adobe products in a broad range of VoIP based applications.

Knowledge & Skills:

Knowledge: BS or MS degree, or equivalent, in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.

Skills:

  • Five or more year's experience developing C++ applications.
  • Object-oriented programming and design skills.
  • Willingness to take ownership of features and the product as a whole.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented personality.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Ability to write accurate and detailed specs.
  • Familiarity with communication standards like Voice/Video Codecs, SIP, RTP, NAT/Firewall traversal, XMPP, etc. (Softphone development experience a plus).
  • Experience shipping high quality software
